Restaurant Manager

The étoile Restaurant is currently seeking a Restaurant Manager to create a world-class wine and food experience at étoile in order to elevate the perception of the Domaine Chandon and Newton brands among our target consumers.

Main Responsibilities:

- Manage the Restaurant with the objective of generating sustainable positive operating profit

- Proactively manage the front of house staff at étoile with the objective of creating a high performing, collaborative team.

- Oversee daily restaurant operations with the goal of ensuring a positive, high quality and brand consistent guest experience.

- Direct the qualitative guest experience of the restaurant with the objective of maintaining positive guest and professional reviews.

Education: College Education preferred

Languages: English

Professional experience & know how: 5 years of fine dining restaurant management experience as a minimum, preferred

Technical & management skills:

-          Basic analysis skills

-          Ability to read and manage a P&L

-          Demonstrated cost containment due to the above skill

Personal & interpersonal skills: Strong leader, good communication skills, integrity, ability to manage multiple priorities

Domaine Chandon’s Visitor Center Manager will be responsible to:

Drive Selling Behaviors and Customer Service Priorities Cost Center & Inventory Management Manage Operational Duties and Communication Processes Employee Management Financial Management

 

Education: Undergraduate degree is strongly preferred or applicable experience.

Languages: English required. Second language helpful in communication with visiting public, but not required.

Professional experience & know-how:

2-5 years experience in hospitality management

Experience managing a large staff with varied levels of experience and maturity

Strong understanding of managerial finance

Some knowledge of wine and luxury goods is required although previous experience in winery hospitality is not a pre-requisite

Strong understanding of consumer trends and behaviors is required

Technical & management skills:

Effective at building teams

Ability to motivate others

Ability to manage vision and purpose

Ability to set and deliver against priorities

Ability to deliver results with limited resources

Ability to deal with ambiguity

Ability to work with and understand multiple POS systems across the business

Personal & interpersonal skills:

Strong team player

Excellent communication skills within and outside of the organization

Seasonal Lab tech II

Job Title: Seasonal Lab Tech II

Newton Vineyards is currently seeking a Seasonal Lab Technician II to provide accurate and timely data, in addition to keeping records, that support the creative winemaking process in order to achieve the highest quality wine product at the optimal cost.

Newton's Lab Technician II will be responsible to:

-           Perform routine Lab analysis

-           Maintain a clean and orderly Lab

-           Maintain Lab equipment in proper working order

-           Perform administrative tasks such as retrieve analytical results

 

Education:   B.S. in Enology (or related field) preferred.

Languages: English required.

Professional experience & know-how:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a wine laboratory.

Technical & management skills:

-           Knowledge of lab analysis and methodology.

-           Strong knowledge of the production of still and sparkling wine from crush to finished product.

-           Good organizational and communication skills.

-           Excellent computer skills, including, word-processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and AMS.

 

Personal & interpersonal skills:

-           Ability to work safely, including the proper use of protective equipment and proper handling of hazardous substances.

-           Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers.

-           Ability to work independently and make decisions within comfort zone of competency and experience.

-           Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company's value of exhibiting the highest quality standards paying strict attention to all standards and documented processes.
