Yountville Vintage Brut, 2006

Winery Exclusive
The first in a series of three Vintage Bruts highlighting the special characteristics of Chandon’s estate vineyard appellations.

Food Pairing

The full-bodied structure and layered complexity of this wine make it an appealing choice with food. Rich and nutty characters marry beautifully with salty, creamy foods like Oysters Rockefeller. Try it with robust roasted dishes or Asian shortribs.

Tasting Notes

In the glass, the color is a dramatic deep pink with a blush of sunset. Intense ripe strawberry, juicy watermelon, and fresh red cherry fruit aromas and flavors are interwoven with apple, pear, and stone fruit. On the palate, the wine is creamy and seductive, with defined structure from the addition of still Pinot Noir at triage. The overall impression is one of bold vibrancy and impact from start to finish.
