Santa Rita Hills Reserve Pinot Noir, 2006
|
Winery Exclusive Food and Wine PairingTry this wine with roast pork loin with a fruit reduction sauce. It would pair nicely with pheasant as well. |
Tasting NotesThis rich and expressive pinot noir is ummediately defined by its aromas of lavender and fresh ripe raspberries that mingle with hints of crushed granite and sandalwood. Expansive flavors including black cherry and pomegranate are a prelude to the silky texture and quintessential flintiness on the finish that is common from the Santa Rital Hills region. The medium body, balanced acidity and well integrated tannins suggest that this wine could be cellared for 5 to 7 years and yet will pair well now with a variety of dishes.
