Chandon is best known as one of America’s top sparkling wines. Less known is Domaine Chandon also produces limited quantities of varietal wines from our estate vineyards. This Cabernet Sauvignon showcases fruit grown in our estate vineyards in Yountville, where our winery is located. This ideal location features well-draining, rocky soils that create prime-growing conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon with dark fruit flavors, lush tannins, and wonderful structure.

Tasting Notes

The 2011 vintage of our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has beautiful aromas of cocoa powder, dried rose petals and toasted oak. Red plum, cherry and boysenberry flavors share the palate with hints of black pepper and a medley of herbs, all of which linger on the finish.

Food and Wine Pairing

A wine made for all seasons, this Cabernet is equally delicious with grilled steak topped with chimichurri sauce as with chicken simmered in mole sauce. Two of our favorite dishes are braised short ribs and pan-roasted pork chops.
