The Vintage Yountville Brut is part of Chandon's Vintage Appellation Series. This wine showcases the unique qualities of a particular growing season of Chandon's vineyards in Yountville.

The full-bodied structure and elegant balance in the Yountville Vintage Brut make it a versatile option for pairing with a variety of foods. Classic dishes from frisee salad with bacon and poached eggs to mushroom and Gruyere tarts are excellent matches.

Tasting Notes

Showcasing the fruit in Yountville, this late-disgorged brut is the second release of the 2007 vintage. As a result of two additional years aging sur lie, it exhibits remarkable depth of flavor and complexity. Baking spices, cola and salted caramel greet the nose. A distinctively rich and creamy mouth feel combined with good acidity leads to flavors of apple, pear and hints of yeast that linger on the finish.

With our Vintage Appellation Series, we choose to create distinctive wines to showcase the unique qualities of a particular growing season from each of our vineyard appellations: Yountville, Mt. Veeder and Carneros.

Food Pairing

Salty, briny foods, such as oysters, crab and eggs, with a creamy rich component will pair with this wine beautifully. Eggs Benedict, oysters Rockefeller and petrale sole with lemon, butter and capers are all good examples of ideal matches.

Tasting Notes

Lemon meringue, ginger and fresh brioche aromas dominate the nose of this wine with just a hint of pleasant smokiness.  It is bright and lively on the palate with lemon-lime leading its pronounced citrus flavor profile.

This wine has a delicate earthiness that is wonderful paired with mushroom tart, fresh crab and vegetable tempura.

Tasting Notes

Our 2008 Carneros Vintage Brut is exhibits aromas of caramel, all spice, ginger, and white stone fruits, including just-ripe nectarine. It offers a firm structure to support its caramel apple, baked pear, and kumquat flavors that are balanced by bright acidity and Carneros minerality.
