Food Pairing  Every year considered one of our most versatile food wines, you can open Muenier anywhere from a barbeque to Thanksgiving dinner. We particularly love this wine with lamb and feta meatballs, pan seared salmon, spaghetti Bolognese, or with a simple mezze or charcuterie platter.

Winemaking and More

Regarded as yet another spectacular vintage, 2016 was dry and hot, as it was another year of drought in California. Not hot spikes however, allowed us to pick fruit at optimal ripeness without sacrificing the acidity that is the hallmark of fruit grown in our Carneros vineyard. The Meunier was picked and fermented whole cluster, with a portion undergoing carbonic maceration, contributing to Meunier’s signature lightness. It spent one year in large format oak barrels, which were made from 100% French oak and approximately 25% new.

Winemaking and More

2017 was a cool year after a few years of drought, resulting in a long growing season giving the grapes time to develop complex flavors and texture. Grown at our Yountville property, the grapes are picked and fermented before going into French Oak barrels to age, smoothing out the rich tannins for a supple mouthfeel. A case of 12.
