We are passionate about our mission to create exceptional sparkling wines that celebrate our lands and bring people together. We create wines to be savored and enjoyed, and that’s where the hard work and craftsmanship truly pay off.
Our work has been noted recently in some high-profile awards in prestigious wine competitions. Judges have agreed again and again that our sparkling wines stand among the best in the world.
We’re honored to have our work highlighted among some of the most competitive fields in winemaking. Here are just a few of the accolades our sparkling wines have received recently.
2021 CHAMPAGNE AND SPARKLING WINE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
This global competition bills itself as the most respected, comprehensive, and rigorous international sparkling wine competition in the world. One aspect that makes this competition unique and rigorous is that all sparkling wines are evaluated by the same judges, who must agree on all the medals awarded, and that all stages of the competition are judged totally blind.
The panel of 3 judges are served wines poured into coded glasses (never even seeing the bottles) to give them a truly unbiased perspective that focuses on the qualities of the sparkling. Awards take place in stages of increasing prestige, as wines are narrowed down to select the very best. Wines that have first been awarded Gold then compete for the distinguished Best in Class award.
Top winners:
Chandon By The Bay - Gold Medal and Best in Class
Chandon Brut Rosé - Gold Medal.
2021 WINE SPECTATOR TOP 100 WINES OF THE YEAR: CHANDON BRUT ROSÉ
Wine Spectator is one of the most beloved and trusted publications about wine and wine culture, and a spot on its Top 100 is an achievement of status that can mark a winemaker’s career. The yearly Top 100 narrows down a pool that begins only with wines that have received scores of 90 or higher on their 100-point scale.
Through a system of more than 3,600 hours of blind taste tests, Wine Spectator editors create the ultimate list of the finest wines around the world to reveal their annual list.
In the most recent Top 100, we were privileged to have Chandon Brut Rosé recognized, marking the first time a sparkling wine has been designated among the Top 100.
Here’s what Senior Editor Tim Fish said about Chandon Brut Rosé in his judging. “A festive sparkler, vibrant and generous, with layered strawberry, fresh ginger and spice flavors that build toward the snappy finish. Drink now.”
2022 SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE WINE COMPETITION
The largest competition of North American wines is also one of the most prestigious and influential. The competition invited 50 judges representing experts across multiple wine/food sectors to judge approximately 5,800 wines from over 1,000 North American wineries.
The sheer number of top-tier wines being judged makes these awards an incredible accomplishment in the craft of winemaking. We were honored to be awarded Double Gold medals (a level that’s actually above Gold) for 3 of our sparkling wines.
Top winners:
Chandon Brut Rosé - Double Gold
étoile Rosé - Double Gold
2016 Mt. Veeder Brut - Double Gold

Women buy the vast majority of wine around the world, making the expertise of these judges even more valued. As buyers, they’re expected to find the best of the best for their clientele. Chandon sparklers were highlighted with 3 Gold Medals.
