Our highest site, above the fog line with temperatures that are up to five degrees cooler than those on the valley floor, even on hot summer days. The cool weather here slows grape ripening, maintaining acidity and allowing for flavor development. Our Mount Veeder Chardonnay is known for its unique spicy aromas.

Bordering the bay, summer fog and cool winds, make it our coolest site and arguably the finest region in California for Pinot Noir – famed for its distinctiveness and intensity of flavor. Chardonnay and Meunier shine here too, gaining great concentration; each with a vital role in our sparkling wines

Our vineyards and our home, seated on the valley floor, Yountville is our most northerly site, but also the warmest, because it’s furthest away from the influence of the bay fogs. Here, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier vineyards contribute richer, riper fruit, which is important in our blends and reserve wines.
