Aging Profile: Minimum of 12 months on the yeast
Completing the Chandon portfolio with a style for every palate and occasion, this sparkling Rosé capitalizes on the fastest growing segment of the champagne/sparkling wine market. Chandon Rosé offers a sophisticated new choice from a familiar name consumers know and depend upon. Savvy wine lovers seeking new wine experiences will be attracted to the stylish packaging, dramatic color and unique winemaking story which set this vibrant wine apart.
Chandon Rosé is exceptional in both flavor and appearance due to the addition of still Pinot Noir at tirage, a winemaking choice which defines the style. Fruit for the sparkling base wine is harvested early for delicate flavor, crispness and lower alcohol. Still wine grapes are picked at greater ripeness for intense flavor development. Adding still Pinot Noir to the base wine at tirage provides deeper color and structure to this style, differentiating it from Blanc de Noirs.
In the glass, the color is a dramatic deep pink with a blush of sunset. Intense ripe strawberry, juicy watermelon, and fresh red cherry fruit aromas and flavors are interwoven with apple, pear, and stone fruit. On the palate, the wine is creamy and seductive, with defined structure from the addition of still Pinot Noir at tirage. The overall impression is one of bold vibrancy and impact from start to finish.
Food and Wine Pairing
Both sparkling and Rosé style wines have exploded in popularity as consumers discover their versatility with food. The well-developed fruit and structure of this wine make it a perfect partner with intensely flavored dishes from Asia and Latin America as well as more traditional Mediterranean and continental fare including seafood, shellfish, duck and lamb.
