LOOKING BACK AT HISTORY


Our journey in crafting exceptional sparkling wines around the globe began in 1959. A few years later, our founder Robert‐Jean de Vogüé visited Napa Valley and knew we would one day plant roots here. In 1973, John Wright led the effort to create CHANDON’s second home in Yountville, California with his local knowledge and the help of a generous and passionate community of like-minded winemakers and growers. It’s been 50 incredible years, and we couldn’t have done it without our neighbors who embraced us back in 1973.

To create a wine symbolic of our gorgeous valley, we sourced varietals from our three estate vineyards: from the bay in Los Carneros, the rocky top of Mt. Veeder, and the expressive valley floor of Yountville, our home. Together, our estate vineyards create an iconic expression of Napa Valley’s 2017 vintage. Within this wine, you see facets of each vineyard reflected: warm croissant, vibrant, citrus, minerality, and fruit. On the palate, it’s generous and bright with candied fruit sweetness.
